This is a local class to be ridden by children who live within a 5 mile radius of Thornton-le-Dale Showground. (No entries on lead rein).
The Geoff and Francis Dunn Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class
The Society’s Trophy will be awarded for the best turnout in this class

The Mousie Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the class

E. J. Vardon Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The R Fletcher Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Jack Turnbull Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Horses must be 4 years old and over, have raced and be registered at Weatherbys. Riders to be 16 years old and over.
The Richard Morley Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Frank Avison Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Frank Cundall Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Peter Sykes Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

John Credland Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Paddisons of Pickering Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

(Class may be split at Judge’s discretion if entry numbers warrant it).
The Society's Silver Jubilee Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Hawsker Stud Trophy will be awarded to the best miniature yearling

Hawsker Stud Trophy will be awarded to the best standard yearling

Hawsker Stud Cup will be awarded to the best miniature Shetland; Classes 18 & 20

The Jade Neal Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Small breeds (Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B and Shetland) to be ridden in the ring.
The Whisperdale Cup will be awarded to the winner of this class

Large breeds (Fell Connemara, Highland, New Forest, Dales, Welsh C & D) to be ridden in the ring

This class is a qualifier for the Shire Horse Society’s Summer Brood Mare Supreme Championship with the final being held at the 2026 National Summer Show at Rockingham Castle on 27th August 2026, where the ultimate winner will receive prize money of £1,000 with £500 to second, £250 to 3rd, £100 to 4th, £50 to 5th and then £25 from 6th-10th.

The D. Prest Challenge Cup will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Walter Tate Challenge Cup will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Rosedale Damp-proofing Challenge Cup will be awarded to the winner of this class

Judged on turnout, handling skills, ring craft and presentation. The horse will not be judged.
The Shire Horse Society's Young Handler's Accumulator Award 2026 - Points will be awarded to the top five, with points awarded as follows: - 1st-5 points, 2nd-4 points, 3rd- 3 points, 4th-2 points, and 5th-1 point.
The Champion Young Handler with the most points at the end of the year will win the trophy. Affiliated shows must submit the results of the Young Handler classes when they submit their Silver Spoon award forms.

The Thomas William Mudd Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Ridden by a child 8 years old or under. Pony to be shown fully plaited
The Sally Douglas Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The John White Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

Open to all ponies and horses over the age of 15 years. This class will be judged on the condition and turnout of the animal. Lead reins accepted providing the rider is under 8 years of age. Entry must be made on Form.
The Stan Cockerill Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Gordon & Margaret Stead Memorial Trophy awarded to the winner of this class

The Ashley Burgess Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Henry Burnside Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class

The Hall Hotel Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the winner of this class
